My summer art

The black eyed susans draw swallowtails

Sally Holmes is making a come back after freezing last year…

The lavender - she's weathered floods, 2 feet of snow & withering heat…

I guess this is my art. Spend most of my free time tending the many gardens. I take great pleasure in this project - one of the reasons I love summer.

  1. What a lovely garden! I think of Nevada and I think of Las Vegas. Thoughts of a lovely place like this just don't come when I hear Nevada! The lavender is especially pretty. I wonder if you harvest it and make anything with it.

  2. Thank you for your comment. I do use it in sachets and I tie stems together for decorating. There is a lavender farm by the Truckee River (runs through Reno), and they make all products imaginable.

  3. You make beautiful art! There's something particularly nice to me about that wire-wrapped driftwood planted in the black eyed susans. = )
